The Great American South Conference champion UHD Baseball club team takes on Missouri S&T, East Conference winners, in its first game in the regional playoff tournament. The tournament is a double elimination format. The winner of the regional advances to the NCAA DII World Series in Butler, PA on May 20-24, 2022.
The Gators, 10-2, finished with the top record in its conference for the third consecutive season. Missouri S&T, 15-3, finished with the top record in its conference for the second consecutive season.
