Canvas: Using Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor with Canvas ONLINE ONLY

Respondus LockDown Browser is a customized browser that increases the security of online testing in Canvas. When students use Respondus LockDown Browser to take a Canvas test, they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, access other applications, or close a test until it is submitted for grading.

Respondus Monitor is a component of LockDown Browser that requires students to use a web camera while taking online exams. With Monitor, a student’s identity can be verified and their activity is video recorded during the exam.
