We begin the month of April--Celebrate Diversity Month--by exploring multiracial identity. What is it like for a person of multiracial heritage to live in a society which categorizes people under single-identity labels? How does it feel to fill out a form and to have to check "Other"? What happens to one's sense of self when there is no choice but to capitulate to the demands of family and friends to declare allegiance to only one element of our racial identity? What is it like to have all the other elements erased? This film and the discussion that follows will explore these seldom-asked questions.
