The Davies Business Career Fairs at the Marilyn Davies College of Business occur each Fall and Spring semester on the University of Houston-Downtown campus. Theses career fair events are important opportunities for you to network and connect with potential employers. These career fairs will be seeking a variety of roles, from internships to senior management positions.

The Center for Urban Agriculture and Sustainability (CUAS) is funding a student-led project focusing on education about recycling on campus. The student who is leading this project is Luis Aguilar and he is doing a presentation on Tuesday, September 25th, where he will be talking about the project, sharing the current status of recycling on campus, discussing ideas, and answering questions. Everyone is welcome so please consider participating and encouraging your students to attend.

Please join us for Pizza & a Movie in Honor of National Recovery Month on Wednesday, September 26, from noon–1 p.m. in One Main Building (OMB) N420, aka the Library Event Room.

We will be screening a segment of "The Anonymous People", a feature documentary film about the 23.5 million Americans living in long-term recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. Courageous recovery advocates are starting to come out of the shadows to tell their true stories for the first time in an effort to challenge stigma and inspire the lives of millions struggling with addiction. Join the dialogue after the film about how stigma and discrimination have impacted the recovery community.

Everyone is invited and welcome to join the dialogue, regardless of their knowledge or experience with substance use and recovery.
